At ages 2-3, children are exploring, communication, and gaining independence. At Little Explorers, we support this growth in a safe and loving space by implementing activities that reinforce what they are learning at home.

COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT
  • Count up to 3 or 5

  • Solve simple problems (like 2–4 piece puzzles)

  • Sort objects (by color, shape, or size)

FINE MOTOR SKILLS
  • Paint with thick brushes

  • Scribble with control

​

  • Start building taller block towers

​

  • Use spoons, forks, and open cups

LANGUAGE & COMMUNICATION
  • Use 3 to 5 word phrases

​

  • Say their name and age

​

  • Ask simple questions (“What’s that?”)

​

  • Understand concepts like “big,” “small,” and “more”

INDEPENDENCE
  • Wash hands with supervision.
